Covers facing forward, books within reach – so your child picks their next story all by themselves.
Read full details
This bookshelf keeps books within your child's reach, so they can choose them on their own from an early age. The books are displayed facing forward: children see the covers straight away and pick whatever catches their interest. It is a simple idea that supports independence, free choice and a natural love of books – reading becomes part of the day, not just the bedtime routine.
The open construction makes it easy to rotate books regularly, so the reading corner always stays interesting. Choose the full size with 5 shelves for a bigger collection, or the compact 3-shelf version: lower and shallower, it suits small spaces, the spot next to the bed or a shared living room, and its height is easy for the youngest children to reach. Both sizes share the same construction and finish.
Petinka makes the bookshelf in Europe from quality birch plywood. A solid build, smooth rounded edges and a clear, child-safe lacquer make it safe for many years of use in the nursery or family room.
