Covers facing forward, at child height – so your child picks the next story on their own.
Read full details
On this bookshelf the books stand with their covers facing forward, not spine-out. Your child sees every title at a glance, reaches it without help and puts it back again – the simplest way to make reading something they choose themselves.
Four tiers step back like a little staircase, so even the books at the back stay visible. Behind them there is a handy storage space for toys or for books you are rotating out for a while. At 59 cm tall the shelf is the right height for toddlers and pre-schoolers.
BusyKids makes the shelf from birch plywood with rounded corners and a water-based lacquer. Choose natural, white or grey: on the white and grey versions the side panels are coloured, while the tiers keep the light birch look.
